Ian Barkin is the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for Sykes Enterprises, Inc. He is a serial entrepreneur and recent transplant to the Tampa Bay area, having recently spent 15 years in the ‘other’ Bay Area. Ian has a background in strategy consulting and outsourcing. Ian has founded firms in the Internet of Things, Critical Infrastructure & Cyber Security, and the Robotic Process Automation spaces. He most recently co-founded and grew Symphony Ventures, a leading global RPA boutique, that he sold to SYKES in 2018. He is a frequent speaker and teacher on the subjects of Digital Transformation, Intelligent Automation and the Future of Work. Ian is passionate about the power of innovation, entrepreneurship and aspiration to create an impact on people and their communities. Ian holds a dual degree in Economics and Psychology from Middlebury College, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
